Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Water Operations Analyst to support safe and effective operation of our clean water network. You will collaborate with Systems Optimisation Engineers, Leakage teams and colleagues across the business to maintain reliable supplies, manage pressure and respond to network issues.

Key duties include investigating pressure events, supporting network isolations, and assisting during emergencies while developing longer-term solutions to improve network resilience.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical discipline would be advantageous, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in hydraulic systems, water networks and clean water operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Investigating pressure issues, customer complaints and network alarms using data to identify solutions.
• Supporting planned network isolations and optimisation projects.
• Assisting during unplanned and emergency events to minimise disruption to customers.
• Helping investigate longer-term network issues, including low pressure, low flows and network resilience.
• Ensuring network activities follow operational and risk-management procedures.
