United Utilities in Liverpool is seeking a permanent, full-time role based onsite at Fazakerley. You will manage customer appointments, support incident response, and help restore services to ensure high standards.

The role requires knowledge of water networks, strong communication, and teamwork. Weekend/evening work is possible, with a salary of £40,232 and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and development.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C or above or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of/experience in operation of water networks and leakage detection/repair.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills.
• Excellent customer service focus and ability to resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Competency in relevant IT packages.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer appointments, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and service standards are met.
• Provide operational support for incidents, events, customer supply interruptions, disconnections, and service restoration activities.
• Investigate and resolve customer-related issues, including leak detection and insurance claims.
• Carry out network operations and maintenance activities (valve operations, mains flushing, sampling, standpipe management, area rezoning).
• Coordinate repairs with internal/external stakeholders for effective service delivery.
• Maintain health, safety and operational compliance through PPE, vehicle checks, risk assessments, and accurate records.
