Job summary

UNITED UTILITIES GROUP PLC is seeking a permanent, full-time onsite role in the Liverpool area. The position involves managing customer appointments, supporting incident response, and resolving service interruptions while upholding high standards of customer service and safety.

The role requires GCSE or City and Guilds qualifications, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A robust benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Knowledge and experience in the operation of water networks and leakage detection/repair techniques.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent customer service focus and ability to resolve customer issues.
  • Ability to work alone as well as in a team.
  • Good level of competency in relevant IT packages.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer appointments, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and service standards are met.
  • Provide operational support for incidents, events, customer supply interruptions, disconnections, and service restoration activities.
  • Investigate and resolve customer-related issues, including leak detection and insurance claims.
  • Carry out network operations and maintenance activities, including valve operations and standpipe management.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate repairs and ensure effective customer service delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and operational requirements through PPE and records.

  • Provide operational support for incidents, events, customer supply interruptions, disconnections, and service restoration activities.
  • Investigate and resolve customer-related issues, including leak detection, pressure and flow concerns, consequential damage claims, and insurance claims.
  • Carry out network operations and maintenance activities, including valve operations, mains flushing, sampling, standpipe management, and area rezoning support.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate repairs, raise further works, and ensure effective customer service delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and operational requirements through PPE and vehicle checks, risk assessments, accurate records, and mobile device updates.
  • GCSE grade C or above, City and Guilds, or ability to demonstrate technical and customer skills
  • Knowledge and experience in the operation of water networks and leakage detection and repair techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent customer service focus and be able to resolve customer issues
