Sweco UK Limited is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer in Ipswich to lead mechanical design delivery for AMP8 water projects. You’ll drive safe, future-proof, cost-efficient solutions, mentoring junior engineers and guiding digital tool use.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering required or related field.
• Chartered or working towards chartered status preferred.
• Proven experience in mechanical design within water/infra environments.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and health & safety requirements.
• Leadership and mentoring capability.
• Proficiency in CAD and engineering software.
• Confident decision-maker with strong communication.
