AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services firm, seeks a Design Manager to shape the future of UK water infrastructure from Manchester with a hybrid pattern (3 days on-site). You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive design delivery, ensure quality and compliance with codes, manage stakeholder expectations, and mentor engineers to grow capabilities across the Water market.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer status.
• Proven experience leading an engineering design delivery team.
• Knowledge of water infrastructure design and lifecycle.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage a multi-disciplinary design delivery team on water infrastructure projects.
• Drive production of technical deliverables: reports, drawings and calculations to high standards.
• Lead design input to project deliverables while controlling time and budgets.
• Collaborate with clients and internal AtkinsRéalis teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop local engineering capabilities.
