Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking an Engineering/Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary projects within the MSW&Ws practice. The role involves overseeing design management, BIM coordination, and integration across our infrastructure portfolio, including nuclear, water, defence and energy sectors.

You will work across Bristol, Cardiff or Exeter offices with client sites and project offices. You will drive governance, ensure robust design processes, mentor teams and collaborate closely with

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer or Architect or equivalent with demonstrable experience managing design, build and/or operate commissions on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Good understanding of management processes for technical integration in large infrastructure programmes.
• Familiar with BIM and 3D modelling tools for design and coordination purposes, including digital technologies to support the design process.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain a robust Design Management Plan with contributions from discipline leads.
• Ensure delivery of the BIM Execution Plan and Basis of Design.
• Implement and monitor Technical Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
• Lead cross-disciplinary design coordination and stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on resources, programme and budget.
• Support mentoring and development of multi-disciplinary team members.
