Job summary

Esh Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial aspects of an NEC 4 Option A contract in the Water sector. You will oversee measurement, subcontractor procurement, valuations and final accounts while maintaining financial control across multiple small projects.

You will work closely with operations to monitor progress and ensure contractual compliance. A relevant degree and water industry experience are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a relevant Degree or equivalent
• Experience in the Water Industry including Water Treatment, storage and conveyance
• Environmental impact and flood prevention awareness

Responsibilities

• Prepare valuations for a high volume of works within contractual deadlines
• Procure sub-contractors in line with policy requirements
• Administer sub-contracts including variations, day works and notices
• Assess and pay sub-contractors and issue payment notifications
• Agree final accounts for sub-contracts
• Measure quantities on site and from drawings
• Evaluate variations and monitor cost impacts
• Process weekly sub-contractor payments and material costs
• Provide accurate information for contract level valuations and cost reconciliations
• Collaborate with operations to monitor progress and margins
• Maintain accurate records and attend site meetings
• Mentor Apprentices/Trainees and conduct quarterly reviews
• Propose star rates for works outside the Activity Schedule
