Job summary

The Esh-Stantec joint venture is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial management of water sector projects. You will measure, value, forecast, and manage cash flow while ensuring contractual compliance and strong cost control. Excellent communication with site teams and stakeholders is essential for protecting margins.

Experience with NEC/JCT contracts and collaboration with internal and external teams is preferred; willingness to work on site in Bowburn, UK is required.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in commercial environment.
• Competent in Civil Engineering construction processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior QS / MQS in commercial delivery and ensure compliance with contract and company procedures.
• Drive Cost Control / Value Engineering and maximise income from the works.
• Measure works on site and from drawings; prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
• Assist in monitoring project costs and budgets; produce CVRs and subcontract liability reports.
• Administer subcontracts and manage variations / compensation events; issue notices.
• Support procurement of subcontractors and process payment applications.
• Work closely with Site Managers and delivery teams; monitor progress and commercial impacts.
