Job summary

Gearing Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Kent partners with a MEICA / M&E contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for the water industry. You will manage commercial aspects across the project lifecycle, from tender award through final account, ensuring financial delivery and strong client and subcontractor relationships.

Experience with NEC contracts is preferred, and you will support Senior QS and Commercial Managers, focusing on cost control, valuations, variations, and monthly reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS in construction/utilities/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract and cost management.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to produce accurate cost reports.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial delivery from contract award to final account.
• Prepare valuations, variations, and measurements; procure subcontracts.
• Monitor costs, cash flow and commercial performance; manage risks.
• Produce monthly cost reports and forecasts; maintain client and supplier relationships.
• Ensure NEC contract compliance and support Senior QS in delivery.
