Job Title: Water Hygiene / Remedial Supervisor

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands.

Salary / Benefits: £22k – £38k + Training + Benefits

Level of Experience: Trainee Water Treatment Supervisor through to Lead Water Treatment Supervisor

Profile: Our client is an established water hygiene / legionella company working across the UK to a mixed range of clients, they are now looking to recruit a Water Hygiene / Remedial Supervisor based in and around the Birmingham area. The successful candidate will hold a plumbing qualification and have extensive experience working in the water hygiene industry, managing a team of engineers, leading jobs on site, training staff in line with company requirements and ensuring that equipment is fully stocked. This role would suit a candidate who is happy to travel and stay away in line with company needs. Our client can offer competitive overtime rates, and a mix of both site and office‑based work as well as company van / car. Consideration will also be given to experienced Engineers (ideally with established experience) looking to take on further responsibility.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Strong water hygiene / remedial background, ideally holding experience working as an engineer / supervisor.
  • NVQ L2/L3 in Plumbing.
  • Extensive knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG Guidelines.
  • Extensive knowledge of the water treatment industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
The Role
  • Planning works and scheduling staff to sites.
  • Organising and ensuring the correct equipment and chemicals are available for works to be carried out.
  • Attending sites to establish works that need to be carried out.
  • Training/developing other Engineers and identifying any training requirements.
  • Troubleshooting out on site and answering any technical enquiries.
  • Carrying out tank cleans, disinfections of mains water systems.
  • Descaling, changing, and replacing tanks as well as flushing systems.
  • TMV servicing and installations.
  • Dead leg removal and pipework rerouting.
  • Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold‑water systems.
  • Installing and maintaining dosing systems.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with ACOP L8 / health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintaining a positive ethic within the team and servicing clients to agreed timescales.
