Job summary

Churchill Group is seeking a full-time plumbing technician to deliver water hygiene and remedial works across Harlow, Bishops Stortford and surrounding areas. You will work on a range of domestic and commercial water systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

The role requires good communication, initiative, and a valid driving licence, with City & Guilds preferred. Experience in servicing calorifiers, cold water tanks, water treatment, and related systems is encouraged;

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing and water systems preferred.
• Valid driving licence required.
• City & Guilds qualification preferred (not mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Carry out water hygiene plumbing and remedial work per procedures and method statements.
• Inspect and service pressurisation units, hot water calorifiers, cold water storage tanks.
• Manage water treatment, closed loop, and water softener tasks.
• Ensure safety, documentation, and client communications.
• Support Service Manager and handle additional reasonable duties.

Working locations – Harlow, Bishops Stortford and surrounding areas

The main purpose of this job…

You will be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive plumbing, remedial and rectification work, on a wide variety of water systems and will require a good understanding of both commercial and domestic water systems and water treatment plant. You will be responsible for ensuring the work is carried out safely and in accordance with the required industry standards.

Role description

Key responsibilities:

• To carry out water hygiene plumbing and remedial work, in line with company procedures and method statements, to include the following:
• Pressurisation units & hot water calorifier inspections, servicing & maintenance
• Cold water storage tank inspections, relining and replacements.
• Water treatment inspections, installations, servicing and maintenance.
• Closed loop & chilled system inspections, servicing and maintenance.
• Water softeners inspection, servicing & maintenance.
• General pipework alterations and plumbing remedial work.
• Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with client requirements, scope and specification.
• Ensure all work records and forms (manual and electronic system based) are complete and accurate.
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and recorded, and are complete & accurate.
• Ensure all arrangements for visits with clients are made in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide full support to Service Manager, as and when required.
• Any other reasonable tasks as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
