Vector Recruitment Solutions Ltd seeks a Water Hygiene Technician to support its specialist team across the South of England with regular London travel.

You will deliver water hygiene remedial works, including TMV maintenance, dead-leg removals, and CWST reconfigurations, ensuring compliance and clear documentation via mobile tablets. A valid UK driving licence and travel flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent) and proven on-site water hygiene remedial experience.
• Strong working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, and Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations; HTM 04-01 knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience: copper and plastic pipework modifications, TMV maintenance, dead-leg cutbacks, and water system chlorination/disinfection.
• Mobility: Full UK driving licence with willingness to cover regional routes across the South of England, plus occasional travel into London.

Responsibilities

• Delivering water hygiene remedial works, including dead-leg removals, pipework modifications, calorifier servicing, and CWST reconfigurations.
• Carrying out thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) installations, replacements, and servicing across diverse estate portfolios.
• Completing emergency plumbing repairs, system alterations, and tank remedial works identified through Legionella Risk Assessments.
• Coordinating effectively on complex projects, including collaborative joint-site execution with regional colleagues and maintaining clear digital compliance logs via mobile tablet software.

The Opportunity:

You will play a vital role in executing critical compliance remedials, rectifying system non-conformances, and safeguarding domestic and commercial water distribution infrastructure. Your day-to-day remit involves:

• Delivering water hygiene remedial works, including dead-leg removals, pipework modifications, calorifier servicing, and cold water storage tank (CWST) reconfigurations.
• Carrying out thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) installations, replacements, and servicing across diverse estate portfolios.
• Completing emergency plumbing repairs, system alterations, and tank remedial works identified through Legionella Risk Assessments.
• Coordinating effectively on complex projects, including collaborative joint-site execution with regional colleagues and maintaining clear digital compliance logs via mobile tablet software.

Technical Essentials:

• Mandatory: NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent trade qualification) and proven on-site water hygiene remedial experience.
• Compliance/Systems: Strong working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, and Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations; HTM 04-01 knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience: Track record executing copper and plastic pipework modifications, TMV maintenance, dead-leg cutbacks, and water system chlorination/disinfection works.
• Mobility: Full UK driving licence with willingness to cover regional routes across the South of England, plus flexibility for occasional public transit travel into London.
