Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to work across London-based sites. You will carry out planned and reactive water hygiene tasks to keep client systems compliant with current legislation and industry standards.

The role offers a permanent contract, a 37.5-hour week with overtime, and opportunities for ongoing training and progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience within water hygiene or a related plumbing position.
• Relevant water hygiene qualifications or training.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver water hygiene services across client sites.
• Perform temperature monitoring, flushing and water sampling.
• Service and maintain TMVs and perform minor remedial works.
• Inspect, clean and disinfect cold water storage tanks and calorifiers.
• Perform showerhead descaling and disinfection tasks.
• Ensure all works comply with ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01 and WRAS.

About the Role

A well-established water hygiene and treatment company is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join its growing team.

You will work across a range of commercial and public sector sites, carrying out both planned and reactive water hygiene duties to ensure client systems remain fully compliant with current legislation and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering water hygiene services across a variety of client sites
• Carrying out temperature monitoring, system flushing, and water sampling
• Servicing and maintaining TMVs, including minor remedial works
• Inspecting, cleaning, and disinfecting cold water storage tanks and calorifiers
• Completing showerhead descaling and disinfection tasks
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01, and WRAS guidelines
