Job summary

Churchill Group is seeking a field-based water hygiene plumber in the Watford area to deliver planned and reactive plumbing work across commercial and domestic water systems. You will ensure safety and compliance with industry standards, reporting to the Service Manager, and coordinating with clients to book visits.

The role requires 1 year of plumbing experience (preferred) and a valid driving licence. City & Guilds (preferred) and a professional, proactive approach are desirable.

Qualifications

• Water hygiene plumbing and remedial work experience.
• Ability to follow company procedures and method statements.
• Experience with water treatment systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out water hygiene plumbing and remedial work in line with procedures and method statements.
• Inspect, service and maintain pressurisation units and hot water calorifiers.
• Inspect, relining and replace cold water storage tanks.
• Inspect, service and maintain water treatment systems.
• Inspect and maintain closed loop & chilled systems.
• Inspect and maintain water softeners.
• Perform general pipework alterations and remedial plumbing work.
• Ensure all work aligns with client requirements and scope.
• Complete work records and forms accurately (manual/electronic).
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and record them accordingly.
• Arrange timely and professional client visits and communications.
• Provide full support to Service Manager when required.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as required.

The main purpose of this job…

You will be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive plumbing, remedial and rectification work, on a wide variety of water systems and will require a good understanding of both commercial and domestic water systems and water treatment plant. You will be responsible for ensuring the work is carried out safely and in accordance with the required industry standards.

Role description

Key responsibilities:

• To carry out water hygiene plumbing and remedial work, in line with company procedures and method statements, to include the following:
• Pressurisation units & hot water calorifier inspections, servicing & maintenance
• Cold water storage tank inspections, relining and replacements.
• Water treatment inspections, installations, servicing and maintenance.
• Closed loop & chilled system inspections, servicing and maintenance.
• Water softeners inspection, servicing and maintenance.
• General pipework alterations and plumbing remedial work.
• Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with client requirements, scope and specification.
• Ensure all work records and forms (manual and electronic system based) are complete and accurate.
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and recorded, and are complete and accurate.
• Ensure all arrangements for visits with clients are made in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide full support to Service Manager, as and when required.
• Any other reasonable tasks as required.
