Job summary

Churchill Group in Maidenhead/Reading/oxford area seeks a Water Hygiene Plumber to deliver planned and reactive plumbing across multiple sites. You will manage water hygiene tasks, calorifier inspections, tank relining, water treatment, and open/closed loop systems while following safety and industry standards.

The role is full-time with a salary of £32,000–£38,000 per year. A driving licence is required, City & Guilds preferred, and applicants must be able to work on the road across locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing (1 year preferred).
• An ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out water hygiene plumbing and remedial work as per procedures and statements.
• Inspections and maintenance of pressurisation units and hot water calorifiers.
• Inspect and service cold water storage tanks, water treatment systems, closed loop and chilled systems.
• Inspect and maintain water softeners and general pipework modifications.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, safety practices, and accurate record-keeping.

The main purpose of this job…

You will be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive plumbing, remedial and rectification work, on a wide variety of water systems and will require a good understanding of both commercial and domestic water systems and water treatment plant. You will be responsible for ensuring the work is carried out safely and in accordance with the required industry standards.

Role description

Key responsibilities:

• To carry out water hygiene plumbing and remedial work, in line with company procedures and method statements, to include the following:
• Pressurisation units & hot water calorifier inspections, servicing & maintenance
• Cold water storage tank inspections, relining and replacements.
• Water treatment inspections, installations, servicing and maintenance.
• Closed loop & chilled system inspections, servicing and maintenance.
• Water softeners inspection, servicing and maintenance.
• General pipework alterations and plumbing remedial work.
• Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with client requirements, scope and specification.
• Ensure all work records and forms (manual and electronic system based) are complete and accurate.
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and recorded, and are complete and accurate.
• Ensure all arrangements for visits with clients are made in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide full support to Service Manager, as and when required.
• Any other reasonable tasks as required.
