Job summary

212 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer/Technician to join our client’s team in the West Midlands on a permanent basis. You will perform routine monitoring, sampling, TMV servicing, flushing and outlet cleaning across customer sites, ensuring compliance with ACoP L8.

Applicants must have previous experience, a full UK driving licence and be able to pass a DBS check; strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Log work and complete admin tasks.
• Monitor water systems in line with ACoP L8.
• Collect water samples from customer premises.
• Perform low use outlet flushing.
• Clean/descale shower heads and taps.
• Take water temperatures from outlets.
• Inspect water tanks.
• Conduct analyses from closed systems.
• Service thermostatic mixing valves (TMV).
• Disinfect outlets locally.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer/Water Hygiene Technician to join our clients busy team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the role will involve:

• Complete admin tasks to log work (tablet will be provided)
• Routine monitoring in line with ACoP L8
• Collection of water samples from customer premises
• Low use outlet flushing
• Clean/descale shower heads/taps
• Take water temperatures from various outlets
• Inspect water tanks
• Conduct analysis from closed water systems
• Thermostatic mixing valve servicing (TMV)
• Localised disinfection of outlets

The successful Water Hygiene Engineer/Technician will have:

• Previous experience within the role essential
• A full UK driving licence
• Must be able to pass a DBS check
• Excellent communication & problem solving skills

Previous plumbing experience would be advantageous though not essential.

Working hours:

• Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
• Occasional Saturday (overtime)
