Job summary

212 Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer/Technician to join a busy team on a permanent basis in the UK. The role involves monitoring in line with ACoP L8, collecting water samples, flushing outlets, cleaning shower heads, and inspecting tanks.

You will also log work on a tablet, take temperatures, conduct analyses from closed systems, service TMVs, and perform local disinfection. A full UK driving licence and DBS clearance are required.

• Previous experience in water hygiene is essential.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Log work and complete admin tasks (tablet provided).
• Perform routine monitoring per ACoP L8.
• Collect water samples from customer premises.
• Flush low-use outlets.
• Clean and descale shower heads and taps.
• Record water temperatures from outlets.
• Inspect water tanks.
• Analyze samples from closed water systems.
• Service thermostatic mixing valves (TMV).
• Disinfect outlets locally.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer/Water Hygiene Technician to join our clients busy team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the role will involve:

• Complete admin tasks to log work (tablet will be provided)
• Routine monitoring in line with ACoP L8
• Collection of water samples from customer premises
• Low use outlet flushing
• Clean/descale shower heads/taps
• Take water temperatures from various outlets
• Inspect water tanks
• Conduct analysis from closed water systems
• Thermostatic mixing valve servicing (TMV)
• Localised disinfection of outlets

The successful Water Hygiene Engineer/Technician will have:

• Previous experience within the role essential
• A full UK driving licence
• Must be able to pass a DBS check
• Excellent communication & problem solving skills

Previous plumbing experience would be advantageous though not essential.

Working hours:

• Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
• Occasional Saturday (overtime)
