Job summary

Kier Group plc. in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Water Framework team and oversee commercial management on multi-sector construction projects from pre-construction planning through to delivery.

You will work with the project delivery team to ensure contractual control and cost management, manage subcontract accounts from procurement to final accounts, participate in final account negotiations, and foster an inclusive, collaborative working environment.

Qualifications

• You hold a relevant academic qualification in a Construction related degree.
• You hold a Full driving licence.
• You have prior experience working in a Commercial role for a contractor.
• You have experience with a variety of contract forms.
• You have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside the project delivery team to ensure contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors.
• Managing commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement through to interim and final account agreement.
• Being involved in final account negotiations to ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery.
• Promoting wellbeing within your team and fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is actively encouraged.
