Job summary

Pinnacle Recruitment are seeking a Quantity Surveyor – Water to join a leading contractor with a broad portfolio in the water, energy and environmental sectors. The role covers projects from early involvement to handover across Poole, Dorset and Bournemouth, with a focus on delivering value while maintaining financial viability.

You will oversee commercial management, ensuring projects stay within budget, are safely delivered, and align with client requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with NEC Contracts and commercial governance.
• Strong numerical, analytical and budgeting skills.
• Flexibility to travel to sites and hold a driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure robust cost management processes with accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to implement efficiency plans.
• Challenge team members to maximise value for clients.
• Ensure understanding of contractual arrangements to meet requirements.
• Support clients to mitigate risks and deliver outcomes.
• Advise on contractual and commercial aspects for robust control.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and communication.
• Provide guidance to junior commercial staff.
• Aspire to develop into a management role.
