Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure design teams, ensuring delivery to standards and project requirements. You will oversee reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work, while guiding multi-disciplinary teams across UK projects.

This role offers hybrid working with 3 days in office, opportunities for technical leadership, bid support, and collaboration with clients and international teams.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering with Chartered/Incorporated status, or ability to achieve ICE chartership within 12 months.
• Experience leading design teams within consultancy and multi-disciplinary environments across full project lifecycles.
• Strong ability to develop innovative, practical solutions to complex engineering and design challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering teams to deliver high-quality water and wastewater infrastructure designs.
• Oversee production and review of technical deliverables including reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work.
• Drive design inputs on complex multi-disciplinary projects while managing programme milestones, timeframes and budgets.
• Collaborate with clients, operational teams, project managers and wider teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to technical capability growth.
