Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Section Engineer to join the wastewater construction team based in Hogsmill, Surrey. You will bridge design and construction, ensuring safe, timely delivery to required standards and supporting engineering assurance on the project.

You will read and interpret drawings, manage technical queries, and coordinate temporary works while maintaining compliance with CDM and quality procedures. Flexibility on hours is available.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience on infrastructure or wastewater construction projects with an engineering assurance focus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs and design packages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail and site coordination.
• CSCS card, full driving licence, and proficiency in MS Office and construction-related software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design documentation and ensure works follow approved drawings and specs.
• Support construction teams with technical queries, resolve design conflicts and drive value engineering.
• Coordinate temporary works designs and approvals per site requirements and programme.
• Monitor progress and provide technical input for project reporting and planning.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, CDM regulations, and internal quality procedures.
