Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Waste Site SCADA Systems Engineer to maintain and enhance site SCADA across our wastewater operations. You will ensure high system availability, support upgrades and security, and mentor colleagues in OT best practices.

You will work hybrid, collaborating with operations teams and capital projects to deliver reliable, secure OT solutions for treatment works and pumping stations. This role demands proactive problem solving and a strong OT mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in SCADA/industrial automation environments.
• Experience with OT networking and PLC systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot critical operational systems and translate issues for operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance site-based SCADA systems across wastewater operations.
• Support upgrades, patches and security improvements for SCADA and HMIs.
• Troubleshoot faults in SCADA, HMIs, PLCs and communications.
• Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity.
• Mentor colleagues and share OT knowledge with the wider team.
