Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Site SCADA Engineer (Waste) to maintain and enhance site-based SCADA systems across our wastewater operations estate. You will work on AVEVA System Platform/Wonderware, FactoryTalk View and Iconics, ensuring availability, resilience and security while supporting operations teams.

This role is based at Crossness with Hybrid working, offering opportunities to influence OT standards, participate in major transformation programmes, and develop expertise in industrial

Qualifications

• Experience in SCADA, PLC, ICA or industrial automation environments.
• Experience with AVEVA System Platform/Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Iconics or similar.
• Knowledge of industrial communications and OT networking.
• Ability to translate technical issues for operational stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance site-based SCADA systems across wastewater operations estate.
• Provide monitoring, control and operational insight across treatment works and pumping stations.
• Deliver upgrades, patches and improvements that keep systems secure and reliable.
• Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity arrangements.
• Work with operations teams to understand challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide technical input into capital delivery and OT improvement projects.
• Champion OT change management, risk management and cybersecurity best practice.
• Mentor colleagues across the OT community.
