Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a Field Technical Officer to provide scientific and technical input to the Wastewater Production Manager, Process Controllers and Operators. You will ensure assets are managed for optimal efficiency within budget and regulatory compliance, while meeting customer service standards and improving performance across the district.

Qualifications

Excellent knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and best operational practice.
Strong numerical/analytical abilities and problem solving.
Ability to monitor and control assets across a district.

Responsibilities

Analyse operational performance data and identify corrective actions within Health & Safety requirements.
Develop and report action plans to ensure compliance with legislation.
Collaborate with Hub Technical Officers, Process Controllers and Operators to meet regulatory targets.
Provide technical direction for short and medium term operation of wastewater assets.
Review workforce scheduling and asset needs to optimize performance.
Identify and deliver optimisation opportunities with Area Engineering Manager.
Contribute to district information for regulatory returns and EA correspondence.
