Job summary

United Utilities Group plc is seeking a hands-on maintenance-focused operativ e for our wastewater treatment works in the North West. Based on site, you will perform essential tasks across multiple treatment sites to meet environmental, safety and customer standards.

You will carry out routine checks, inspections and maintenance, support root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement. This permanent, full-time role requires a driving license and willingness to work outdoors as

Qualifications

Full UK driving license required and experience in related operational environments.
Knowledge of environmental output standards, compliance requirements, and procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
Ability to follow processes and work safely.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Carry out day-to-day operational and maintenance tasks across wastewater treatment processes across sites.
Help ensure sites meet environmental regulations and performance targets.
Take a hands-on approach to planned and reactive work.
Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise contractors.
