Job summary

CRH plc is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our wastewater services team in Dorset. The role involves servicing, fault finding, repairing and refurbishing industrial equipment in our workshop and on customer sites across the UK.

This role requires a recognised mechanical apprenticeship, City & Guilds qualification or equivalent, and a Full UK driving licence. You will work safely, with opportunities for training and career progression within a global infrastructure group.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical apprenticeship.
• City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical and industrial equipment.
• Strip, inspect, rebuild, and refurbish machinery, pumps and heavy equipment.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs to component level.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare survey reports.
• Work safely in both workshop and on customer sites.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using electronic devices.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other trades to deliver quality work.
