Erewash Borough Council is seeking an experienced Waste Services Supervisor to lead the waste collection team and oversee day-to-day operations of the in-house waste and recycling service. Reporting to the Waste Services Manager, you will ensure targets and statutory requirements are met while delivering a high-quality, safe service.

You will hold a full HGV 2 license, have experience supervising or managing people, and demonstrate strong communication.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 2 driving licence is required.
• Experience supervising or managing people and resources.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Operational leader with a proactive approach to service delivery.

Responsabilités

• Ensure operational targets, service objectives and statutory requirements are met.
• Champion a positive health and safety culture and maintain effective management systems.
• Manage the waste collection team day-to-day.
• Ensure the collection team are trained and equipped for the role, completing crew monitoring and accident investigation and reporting.
• Work closely with fleet service team to ensure vehicles are available for service delivery and maintained for road transport compliance.
