Job summary

ESSENTIAL EMPLOYMENT LTD is seeking an experienced Waste Operations Manager to lead a large-scale waste collection operation in Bradford. You will oversee domestic and commercial waste services, fleet utilisation, and frontline workforce management, ensuring delivery targets are met safely and efficiently.

You will drive service improvements by analysing performance data, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining high standards of health and safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing waste, recycling, environmental services, logistics, or fleet operations.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing large frontline teams.
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety, risk assessments, and operational compliance.
• Experience analysing performance data and driving service improvements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large-scale waste collection operation, overseeing domestic and commercial waste services, fleet utilisation, health & safety compliance, and frontline workforce management.
• Ensure daily operational delivery, manage and develop a large team, drive service performance, investigate incidents, monitor compliance, and implement continuous improvements across collection services.
