Wyre Forest District Council is seeking an experienced Waste Manager to lead our waste collection, recycling and disposal services. You will drive service improvement, develop teams, ensure safety, compliance and a strong customer focus for residents and businesses.

The role requires flexibility in hours, participation in an operational rota including weekends, bank holidays and out-of-hours responses. A driving licence is essential and you will work to deliver sustainable, value-for-money

Qualifikationen

• Extensive experience in waste management or environmental services.
• Strong knowledge of waste legislation and health & safety requirements.
• Experience leading large operational teams.
• Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and service performance.
• Driving licence is required.
• Willingness to work weekends/evenings/on-call.
• Commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement.
