Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Technical Officer (Waste & Recycling) for a temporary 3-month assignment in Newham. You will provide administrative and customer service support to the Waste & Recycling team. The role is office-based (5 days per week) at £18.92 per hour.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data handling is essential, with experience in local authority environments a plus. You will assist with planning, reporting, and improving waste services, handling inquiries and supporting residents

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an administrative or support role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
• Understanding of customer service principles and ideally, experience within a local authority or public sector environment.
• Knowledge of waste management or recycling services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide vital administrative assistance to the Waste Collections team.
• Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring performance information is up to date.
• Produce insightful reports on waste collections and service performance.
• Raise purchase orders and process invoices efficiently.
• Organise and maintain electronic filing systems with precision.
