Job summary

Northumberland County Council is looking for a Refuse Loader to collect waste and recyclables across our communities from the Lionheart Depot in Alnwick. You will work as part of a dedicated team, delivering high levels of customer service while maintaining safe, clean streets.

Ideal candidates are hardworking, physically fit, punctual and team players, ready to operate hydraulic equipment and support daily operations with a positive attitude toward residents and the environment.

Qualifications

• Hardworking with the physical capability for manual tasks.
• Ability to maintain safe, tidy and clean streets during rounds.
• Willingness to work as part of a frontline refuse team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a complete waste and recycling service for residents and the community.
• Ensure collections are carried out to schedule and environments are kept clean and safe.
• Work 4 days a week as part of the Lionheart Depot team.
