Job summary

Northumberland County Council’s Lionheart Depot in Alnwick is seeking a Refuse Loader to join the Waste, Recycling and Parks team. The role involves providing a complete waste and recycling service to residents, collection to schedule, and maintaining clean and safe streets and homes.

The position requires physical effort and a positive customer-focused attitude. You will work as part of a dedicated team, with a 4-day work week and opportunities for progression within the Place and Regeneration

Qualifications

• Hardworking and physically fit for the job requirements.
• Must be a front-line Northumberland County Council representative.
• Able to manoeuvre bins, operate hydraulics, and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide a complete waste and recycling service for residents and community.
• Ensure that general waste and recycling is collected as per schedule and that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy.
• Work 4 days a week.
• Be a front-line member of staff based at Lionheart Depot, Alnwick.
