Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a global renewable energy business in Bridgwater, Somerset, to recruit a Waste and Environmental Manager for a cutting-edge waste centre within a manufacturing environment. You will lead daily operations and ensure regulatory compliance while driving safety and sustainability initiatives.

You will manage budgets, oversee waste processing, coordinate with regulators, and report to senior management.

Qualifications

Experience leading waste management in manufacturing or production environments.
Knowledge of waste processing, storage and transport regulations.
Strong leadership and budgeting capabilities.
Commitment to health and safety best practices in line with NEBOSH and COMAH requirements.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the waste centre to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Oversee waste processing, storage and transportation to meet targets.
Ensure health and safety protocols are followed site‑wide.
Monitor and manage budgets for cost effectiveness.
Lead, train and motivate the team to achieve performance goals.
Implement and maintain environmental and sustainability practices.
Prepare operational reports for senior management.
Coordinate with external partners and regulatory bodies as required.
