Job summary

isepglobal, a global renewable energy business near Bridgwater, Somerset, seeks a Waste and Environmental Manager to lead waste operations, safety, and environmental performance at the site.

You will oversee processing, storage, and transport of waste, ensuring regulatory compliance and cost-effective operations while driving sustainability initiatives and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management in the manufacturing and production industry.
• Knowledge of waste management processes and environmental regulations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and operational targets effectively.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to health and safety best practices.
• Knowledge of COMAH regulations.
• Waste management experience within a battery/fuel cell environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the waste centre to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee waste processing, storage, and transportation to meet targets.
• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed across the site.
• Monitor budgets and drive cost-effective operations.
• Lead, train, and motivate the team to achieve performance goals.
• Implement and maintain environmental and sustainability practices.
• Prepare operational reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with external partners and regulatory bodies as required.
