Michael Page is partnering with a global renewable energy business in Bridgwater, Somerset, to recruit a Waste and Environmental Manager for a cutting-edge waste centre within a manufacturing environment. You will lead daily operations and ensure regulatory compliance while driving safety and sustainability initiatives.

You will manage budgets, oversee waste processing, coordinate with regulators, and report to senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading waste management in manufacturing or production environments.
• Knowledge of waste processing, storage and transport regulations.
• Strong leadership and budgeting capabilities.
• Commitment to health and safety best practices in line with NEBOSH and COMAH requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the waste centre to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee waste processing, storage and transportation to meet targets.
• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed site‑wide.
• Monitor and manage budgets for cost effectiveness.
• Lead, train and motivate the team to achieve performance goals.

Description

• Manage the daily operations of the waste centre to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.
• Oversee waste processing, storage, and transportation to meet operational targets.
• Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed across the site.
• Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Lead, train, and motivate the team to achieve performance goals.

Job Offer

• Salary between £75,000 - £80,000 (dependent on the level of experience).
