Job summary

Coventry City Council is recruiting a Waste Data Officer to manage and maintain accurate waste service data, provide administrative support to the Domestic Waste Team, and monitor service performance.

The role requires strong Excel skills, IT proficiency, and the ability to produce and analyse reports. You will work in a hybrid setup with 2 office days per week, and be part of a team focused on compliant, efficient waste services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver administrative support and assistance to the Domestic Waste Team.
• Ensure compliance with service data and reporting requirements.
• Support the management and coordination of Waste Support Assistants.
• Produce, analyses and maintain reports using a range of ICT systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain data accuracy across waste service systems.
• Work collaboratively with operational and administrative teams to improve service delivery.
• Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with Council policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, equality, diversity and inclusion requirements.
• Attend mandatory training and participate in development activities relevant to the role.
• Provide additional support to Waste Data Assistants and wider service areas as required.
