Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a Contract Officer to join its busy waste management team on a full-time basis (37 hours). The role covers contract development, performance monitoring and ensuring compliance, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making.

You will work closely with the waste contractor and internal teams, triaging customer queries via the CRM, and supporting procurement, planning and budget control.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management and procurement processes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse data and prepare reports for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee waste contracts from development to performance monitoring and compliance.
• Collect, analyse and interpret data to improve service delivery and inform decisions.
• Liaise with contractors and manage customer/stakeholder inquiries via CRM.
• Support procurement processes, service planning and budget monitoring.
• Create and manage essential documentation and meeting records.
