Job summary

Perfect Placement is seeking an experienced Warranty Administrator / Assistant Workshop Controller to join our client's busy Aftersales team in Melton Mowbray. The role focuses on warranty administration, processing claims accurately and to deadlines, and supporting workshop operations.

• Experience in a franchised motor dealership or automotive workshop.
• Proven track record in warranty administration and familiarity with manufacturer processes.
• Understanding of workshop operations and technician workflow.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in dealer management and manufacturer software systems.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to manage a dynamic workload with a proactive approach.
• Commercial awareness and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and submit warranty claims accurately within designated timescales.
• Monitor workshop productivity and technician workloads to optimise efficiency.
• Allocate work to Technicians based on skill and availability.
• Liaise with Technicians, Service Advisors, and Parts Departments regarding job progress.
• Ensure technician job cards, diagnostic reports, and supporting documentation are completed correctly.
• Investigate rejected or queried warranty claims and manage resolutions.
• Process warranty credits and recover legitimate warranty income.
• Maintain detailed warranty records to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
• Support Service Advisors with vehicle updates and customer inquiries.
• Assist with technical escalations, return-to-workshop vehicles, and repeat repairs.
• Promote high standards of workshop organisation, efficiency, and customer service.
