Job summary
Macphie Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Technical Operative in Glasgow. You will manage stock, perform cycle counts, and use our ERP systems to drive efficient warehouse operations.
The role involves training colleagues, deputising for the Shift Manager and maintaining high safety and hygiene standards in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role requires practical warehouse experience, Counterbalance forklift competence (training provided), and good knowledge of stock control and safety
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience in a busy production, manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Counterbalance forklift experience is essential; training provided.
- Strong stock control and inventory management knowledge including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Experience using ERP systems; familiarity with IFS would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Manage stock, rotation, traceability and accuracy.
- Carry out cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Use ERP to support stock control and planning.
- Assist training of new warehouse colleagues and deputise for Shift Manager.
- Maintain hygiene and housekeeping to audit-ready standards.
- Support safety, quality and KPI targets.
