Job summary

Macphie is seeking a Warehouse Technical Operative based at our Glasgow site to manage stock, operate the ERP system and support warehouse activities in a busy food manufacturing environment.

The role reports to the Warehouse Manager, involves two-week rotating shifts (Early 6am–2:30pm and Back 2pm–10:30pm), and includes training colleagues, deputising for the Shift Manager, and helping improve KPIs while maintaining high levels of housekeeping and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience managing stock in a busy warehouse environment.
• Proven ability to perform regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Comfort with ERP systems to support stock control and planning.
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety standards and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock effectively, including rotation, traceability and accuracy.
• Carry out cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Use ERP system to support stock control and warehouse activities.
• Complete intake/outload documentation and train new team members.
• Deputise for the Shift Manager when required.
• Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Engineering and Quality.
