Job summary

GXO Logistics in Northampton is hiring a Warehouse Team Manager to lead a night-shift team in our Frozen warehouse operation. Manage coaching, motivation and engagement to build a high-performing culture during 22:00–06:00 shifts.

The role is full-time and permanent, with a salary up to £33,280 plus premiums and benefits, including 33 days leave and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a hands-on leadership position with a strong focus on performance and safety.

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Manager to join our team in Northampton, supporting our customer Sainsbury's, in our Frozen warehouse operation. You will be responsible for managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 nights from 7, 22:00 till 06:00

Pay, benefits and more:

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £33,280.00 per annum plus a shift premium of £2.38 per hour and an extra £1.00 per hour worked on a Saturday and £1.50 per hour worked on a Sunday. You will also receive 33 days annual leave (inclusive bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

• To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
• Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
• Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
• Management of the warehouse training requirement and function

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
• The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
