Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager in Northampton to lead a night shift (5 nights, 22:00–06:00) and support our Sainsbury’s operation in the Frozen warehouse. You will coach, motivate and develop your team to build a strong culture and work ethic.

This full-time role offers a salary up to £33,280 per annum, with additional shift premiums and weekend rate enhancements. The package includes 33 days leave, dental insurance, pension, 24/7 GP, life cover and more benefits.

• Proven experience leading a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to lead continuous improvement projects while maintaining strong planning.
• Excellent communication skills with on-site engagement focus.

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Manager to join our team in Northampton, supporting our customer Sainsbury’s, in our Frozen warehouse operation. You will be responsible fo r managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 nights from 7, 22:00 till 06:00

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,280.00 per annum plus a shift premium of £2.38 per hour and an extra £1.00 per hour worked on a Saturday and £1.50 per hour worked on a Sunday.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
• Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
• Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
• Management of the warehouse training requirement and function

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
• The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
