Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Milton Keynes is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to coordinate daily logistics, lead a small team, and ensure accurate storage and dispatch of orders.

You will report on warehousing performance, monitor KPI achievement, use our in-house tracking system, and uphold health and safety standards on site.

Experience as a supervisor in logistics, ability to lead by example, and proficiency with logistics software are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment is essential.
• Experience with preparation and distribution of volume orders.
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
• Ability to lead by example and drive KPI achievement.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring warehousing activities and performance in your area.
• Track and trace orders using the in-house digital tracking system and keep records updated.
• Promote and monitor health and safety requirements on site, including manual handling.
• Provide absence cover for other Team Leaders within the operation.

Position: Team Leader

Location: Milton Keynes (MK4 3FU)

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday 3pm until 11pm

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area


• To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level


• To promote, adhere to and monitor Health and Safety requirements on site, including manual handling health and safety requirements


• Support with absence cover for other Team Leaders within the operation

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment is essential


• Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
