Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an Operations Team Leader in Coventry to oversee staff involved in picking, packing and sorting within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role requires monitoring workloads, KPIs and reporting to senior management to maintain efficient operations.

You will supervise direct reports, coordinate productivity, and ensure safety standards while tracking orders with our in-house system and handling customer communications via email and phone.

Operations Team Leader

Pay Rate: £27,000 Grade: O Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday - Friday (Days) Location: Coventry, CV2 2TA

We're now looking for an Operations Team Leader to play a key role at the centre of our fulfilment operation.

A typical day may involve:

• Overseeing and managing the staff who are tasked with picking, packing and sorting of orders in a fast-paced environment
• Managing workloads and reviewing KPI's
• To directly assist the Senior Management team by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, always maintaining standards of excellence
• To track and trace orders using a digital In-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
• Will also involve customer contact directly both in terms of emails and calls

This role would suit people who:

• Strong communicator - both written and verbal
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is essential
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports.
