Pertemps Leicester on behalf of a well-established client is recruiting a Warehouse Team Leader to join the night shift in Burton-on-Trent. The role offers a permanent, full-time contract with a salary of £33,000-£35,000 per annum plus a night shift allowance.

You will lead a team of approximately 30 warehouse colleagues, drive performance against KPIs, and ensure high standards of safety, quality, productivity and service on the night shift.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a warehouse team.

• Strong communication and coaching ability.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Salary: £33,000-£35,000 per annum + night shift allowance

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off | 22:00-10:00

Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their night shift operation in Burton-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a team of approximately 30 warehouse colleagues, playing a key role in the smooth running of the night shift while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity and service.

The RoleAs Warehouse Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

About YouWe're looking for a confident, proactive leader who can balance strong people management skills with a focus on operational performance.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience leading and managing a team within a warehouse, logistics or similar operational environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate, coach and develop colleagues.
• Experience working with KPIs, performance data and productivity targets.
• Confidence managing attendance, absence, conduct and performance-related matters, including difficult conversations where necessary.
• A practical approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• A strong understanding of health and safety within an operational environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Basic IT skills and confidence using operational systems and reporting tools.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within an automated distribution or e-commerce environment.
• A background in warehouse or outbound operations.
• Experience managing agency workers alongside permanent colleagues.
• Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
