Job summary

Zenith Advisory Partners is representing a well-established manufacturer in Leicester seeking a Warehouse Team Leader. You will lead a warehouse team, plan daily and night shift activities, and ensure accurate receiving, storage and dispatch of goods in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasises strong leadership, good communication, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while upholding Health & Safety standards and operational records.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Warehouse Team Leader or similar role.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food production or distribution.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
• IT literacy and experience with warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to meet daily targets.
• Plan and coordinate activities across day and night shifts.
• Ensure goods are received, stored and dispatched accurately.
• Monitor team performance, productivity and attendance.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Maintain health & safety and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure stock accuracy through regular checks and inventory control.
• Liaise with production, planning and transport teams to meet customer requirements.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Complete shift handovers and maintain accurate records.
• Promote continuous improvement across the warehouse operation.

Warehouse Team Leader

Location: Leicester

Salary: £13.29 per hour (£29,105 per annum)

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Rest Days)

Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm / 6:00pm - 6:00am

The Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of their warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous warehouse leadership experience who enjoys leading from the front, developing teams and ensuring the smooth movement of goods within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor or Senior Warehouse Operative.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, FMCG, food production or distribution environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
• Good IT skills and experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) would be advantageous.

Desirable

• FLT Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licence.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working within a KPI-driven environment.
