Job summary

Ethero Strategic Staffing in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for a temporary-to-permanent role. You will oversee warehouse staff, allocate daily workloads, and ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.

You will maintain stock records, support stock counts, manage warehouse supplies and check equipment safety (PPT, VNA, forklift). The role includes yard hygiene and compliance with health & safety regulations, with rotational shifts and weekly pay.

Temp to perm

• Supervise warehouse staff and allocate daily workloads
• Ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
• Responsibility for parcel carrier shipments (e.g. DPD, DHL, Royal Mail) and the pick/pack process for systems
• Yard maintenance Emptying of skips & hygiene
• Check motorised equipment is functioning correctly i.e. PPT, VNA, Forklift, reporting of any nonconformance, ensure completion of pre-use checks
• Maintain accurate stock records
• Support stock counts and inventory audits
• Manage warehouse supplies and resources

Requirements

• Previous experience driving VNA advantages but not essential
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including goods receiving, storage, stock control, picking, packing, and dispatch
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Flexible approach to working hours and operational demands

Working Hours

Rotational shift

Week 1 - 08:30 -17:30 Monday to Friday

Week 2 - 10:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday

Week 3 - 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday and a Saturday 09:00 - 17:00

Pay rate: £13.60 - £14.00 - per hour PAYE, paid weekly
