Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse in North Tawton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and supervision, including conducting debriefs with the shift team and ensuring all vehicles are loaded accurately and on time.
• Collaborate closely with transport teams to maintain efficient and seamless operations.
• Manage staff scheduling, including planning for holiday and sickness coverage.
• Oversee operational communications, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and monitor equipment maintenance.
• Assist with internal team meetings and support the preparation of documentation.
• Coordinate the maintenance and servicing schedules for warehouse equipment.
• Liaise with both internal departments and external partners to manage queries and maintain service levels.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce daily operational statistics.

Required Experience:

• Valid certification to operate Reach and Counterbalance Forklifts.
• Experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
