Job summary

Unipart is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our busy team in the UK. You will process goods from delivery to despatch in a safe, accurate, and timely manner, using SAP for MRP movements and stock checks. A valid MHE licence is required and experience in warehousing is preferred.

You will work under the Warehouse Team Leader, supporting KPI targets, health and safety, and liaising with drivers during loading/unloading. A competitive benefits package accompanies the role.

Responsibilities

• Process materials from receipt to despatch accurately and safely.
• Check goods received for defects and report discrepancies.

• Carry out stock checks following company procedures.
• Participate in daily team meetings to hit targets.
• Work safely following health and safety rules and perform safety checks on equipment.
• Meet delivery drivers on arrival and coordinate loading/unloading.

About the Role

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our busy team. Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader you will be responsible for processing goods from delivery to despatch in a safe, accurate, timely and efficient manner to satisfy all stakeholders. You will be IT literate and ideally will have experience working with SAP in a warehousing environment and have an MHE licence.

Key Responsibilities

As part of your key responsibilities, you’ll:

• Perform accurately all material processing tasks including receipt of material, put away, perpetual inventory checking, picking, packing and despatch
• Responsible for checking of goods received, ensuring any defects in quality / quantity are managed appropriately
• Transact all warehouse activities in MRP system (SAP) for movement in and out of stores and final despatch
• Undertake stock checks in accordance with Company procedures
• Participate in daily comm. cell meetings and work within a small team to achieve warehouse targets (cost, quality and delivery).
• Work in a safe manner, taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other people at work, following appropriate Health and Safety guidance, training and company rules and procedures as appropriate.
• Undertake forklift truck driving and safety checks
• Ensure delivery drivers are met on arrival, are made aware of site access and safety issues during loading and unloading of vehicles

About You

• IT literate – experienced working with SAP transactions in a warehouse environment
• Relevant MHE license(s) holder including Fork lift and reach truck
• Previously worked within a warehouse environment
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of numeracy
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritse and work to deadlines in a fast paced environment
