Job summary

Unipart in Magna Park is seeking a Team Leader to guide and motivate a 15-person team, driving concise process compliance and continuous improvement. You will monitor performance, develop staff, and collaborate across functions to deliver world-class service.

The role focuses on cost-efficient operations, lean practices, and a strong safety culture, with opportunities for growth and personal development within a leading supply chain partner.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs (Maths and English) are required.
  • Experience leading a team of up to 15 people.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening.
  • Strong IT skills with SAP, Microsoft Office and/or Google Suites.
  • Ability to analyze data and interpret findings.
  • Commitment to self-development and team growth.
  • Experience in leading change programs.
  • Awareness of health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and health and safety compliance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and cut costs.
  • Update daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports with visual tools.
  • Foster a positive team culture and promote skills development.
  • Collaborate with other teams to solve broader organizational challenges.
  • Ensure delivery of world-class customer service and exceed client expectations.

Monday to Friday, 06.00 to 14.30

About The Role

As a Team Leader at Unipart you'll lead, manage, coach, motivate and engage a team of people to co-ordinate activities to achieve a number of business goals through effective process compliance management, continuous improvement, quality and a focus on self and team development. You'll have responsibility for your team's performance and you'll have a keen eye for process improvements and spotting the best ways of reducing cost whilst delivering world class service and results. You'll work very closely with your Operations Manager to deliver results together across your department. We don't just have a way of working, we have The Unipart Way. You'll have a key role to play in helping your team go 'From Gate to Great', with all the opportunities that go with it.

As Part Of Your Key Responsibilities, You'll
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, drive cost efficiencies, and improve operational performance
  • Monitor and improve performance by updating daily, weekly, and monthly reports using visual management tools
  • Foster a positive team culture and drive engagement while promoting skills training and professional development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to develop solutions for wider organizational challenges
  • Ensure delivery of world-class customer service by consistently striving to exceed client expectations
About You
  • GCSE or equivalent level of education (including Maths and English)
  • Experience of managing and leading a team of up to 15 people
  • Excellent communication skills including effective listening
  • Good IT skills with skills in SAP, Microsoft Office and / or Google Suites
  • Logical thinker with skills in understanding and interpreting data
  • A commitment to self-development and team development
  • Experience of adapting to and leading programmes of change
  • Awareness of health, safety and environmental standards
  • Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service
  • Demonstrable experience of working with lean / continuous improvement techniques
